Sulla pagina al recto: al centro: litografia Route to the Summit of Mont Blanc con l’itinerario dell’ascensione al Monte Bianco e in calce la trascrizione delle 18 tappe; ai lati il testo del programma dello spettacolo diviso in due parti; al verso tre vedute tratte dai disegni di William Beverley: The Mur de la Côte, The Grands Mulets e Coming Down. Al verso: sulla guardia a destra: iscrizione a inchiostro: «L. [?] B. [?] M. [nome del possessore] July 3rd 1853», che fa riferimento alla seconda stagione dello spettacolo che terminò nell’agosto del 1853.

Altro esemplare è conservato al Musée Alpin de Chamonix-Mont-Blanc con inv. AG.839, carta litografata e legno, 44 x 23,5 cm. Durante i mesi estivi, i ventagli venivano distribuiti, occasionalmente, alle spettatrici come forma di accompagnamento allo spettacolo di Smith, «useful for reference during the lecture» come riportato sul ventaglio, cfr.
